Aromas of juicy peach, pear, raspberry and lime with a sprinkling of dried herbs. On the palate one finds grapefruit, tangerine, lime and white pepper...well-proportioned with a long minerally texture finishing with lime and almond.
The Gunerloch Estate, located in Rheinhessen, owns unquestionably the best vineyards in Nackenheim. Hans Jorison, a very knowledgeable German vineyard and wine classification specialist, rated the Gunderloch's Nackenheimer Rothenberg, as one of only three grand cru A vineyards in all of Rheinhessen. Fritz Hasselbach (winemaker) is very highly accredited. In 2002 the Wine Spectator Magazine celebrated him as the only winemaker ever to have received a perfect 100 points score for not only one, but three of his wines.
