"Burnt malt and sweet figs, a bit of coffee as well on the nose. Creamy and smooth with a thick body, very malty with an abundance of dark fruitiness. The slowly warming alcohol gains ground with each sip; vey complex. Nice sweet, bready finish. A prime example for the style and quite balanced to boot."--Beer Advocate (A-)
